Technical investigation
Find why a system or connection is failing.
Investigate missing inquiries, duplicate records, access problems, or failing deployments, with evidence and options for the next step.

with checks and a usable handoff.
Illustrative scope
What this could look like.
A deployment started failing after an update. The previous release still works, but the logs do not establish which change caused the failure.
- Define the question
- Inspect the evidence
- Test an explanation
- Choose the next step
The resultFindings that separate confirmed behavior from uncertainty, with evidence and options for an approved fix or further investigation.
Scope
What we can work on.
An engagement can cover several related tasks and workflows. Bring the whole problem; the proposal names the included work, connections, and completion checks.
A form no longer delivers inquiries. Two business tools stop syncing. Staff lose access, records duplicate, or a deployment fails. Describe the symptom; you do not need to identify the technical cause first.
We agree the investigation questions, inspect the available evidence, and test possible explanations within the permitted access and change limits. Findings distinguish what is confirmed from what remains uncertain.
You receive findings and practical options, including a fix, further investigation, or vendor escalation. Implementation needs separate approval. We cannot guarantee a repair or a provider’s account-recovery decision.
A first scope can include
- An agreed investigation question
- Findings with supporting checks
- Options for a fix, further investigation, or referral
Outside this starting scope
A guaranteed fix, implementation, and emergency response are not part of the investigation.
Your part
What we need from you.
- The affected website, app, connection, or system and when it last worked
- Redacted screenshots or errors, the effect on your work, and any recent changes
- Who can approve delegated access, test activity, and recovery decisions if needed
Start with public or redacted information. We agree any private-data transfer or delegated access before it is needed.
Access and data handlingReview & handoff
How you check the result.
- Trace each finding to its evidence and stated limits.
- Review the options, dependencies, operating costs, and any further checks needed.
- Decide whether to approve implementation separately; investigation does not guarantee a fix.
